Your doorway to Angkor Wat, this International airport is one of Cambodia’s busiest hubs for both domestic and international flights with over a million annual visitors touching down in the city.
Named after the renowned Angkor, the terminal was officially opened in 2006 and has since seen speedy expansion to fulfill the demands of a burgeoning tourism sector. The government plans to build a new airport 60km from Siem Reap but until this plan come to existence, Siem Reap International Airport will no doubt continue to see significant growth.

Visa on Arrival can be applied inside the immigration space when arriving in Cambodia. You need to complete the visa form and submit it together with passport, one photo and visa fee -- $20 for tourist visas and $25 for business visas. Your application form and passport are handed around to 8 different people, so don’t worry about this as you can get your visa back after around 15 minutes. There are also 2 ATMs just near here should you need to withdraw some cash.
After you got your visa, head straight to the immigration officer who can stamp you into the country. The luggage claim is just through to the next area. Once you have your baggage head through the customs. If there's a customs officer present, offer him your declaration form otherwise just throw it into the bin provided and proceed out into the arrivals hall.
Inside the arrival hall you will notice a currency exchange booth which deals in most major currencies but if you have U.S. dollars keep them to use freely throughout Cambodia. There’s also a bakery here of you need one thing to eat before heading into Siem Reap.
